We offer a traditional European breakfast from 07:30 to 11:00, but do not serve lunch or dinner. However, the friendly bar is open most of the day, from morning-coffee to nightcap times. Some of the best champagnes and whiskeys can be tasted here and some of the wines come from the Allegro's own vineyard. A horse-drawn carriage can be arranged to take you up there for an enjoyable picnic or a wine tasting, while enjoying the superb view over the Inner Lake.
Area Information
Tihany is one of the oldest villages in Hungary, built on the peninsula on the northern side of Lake Balaton, which is famous for its Benedictine Abbey. In Tihany visitors can enjoy a variety of Hungarian restaurants, just a short walk away, while a few minutes' drive will take you to The Club Tihany with its excellent spa which includes massage and beauty services. It also has a fine restaurant. There is a popular sailing club here, and just round the corner there is Café Tihany, a superb Italian restaurant overlooking the Lake. Sport lovers can enjoy golf, sailing, riding, fishing and can also hire bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside.
