Hotel Information

The hotel is situated in Mezőkövesd, which features the most prominent Matyó population in Hungary. The Matyó consider themselves separate ethnic group, since they came into the region after the Turkish invasion drove them from other parts of Hungary and Slovakia. Their famed art and culture is now a core addition to Hungarian identity.

The first 30 minutes use of the sauna, hot tub, gym and salt cave is free of charge each day. Massages other health treatments are available on request.

A children's playground is located in the garden, where there are also barbecue facilities.

In the surrounding area you can find Eger which has had religious significance for 1000 years and is one of the most beautiful Baroque towns in Hungary. Its inhabitants are proud of its glorious past and priceless heritage of monuments. The town also offers a wide selection of full-bodied red wines. Furthermore, it is just 15 minutes from Mezőkövesd.

Zsóry-fürdő (Zsóry Baths, 150 metres) - The natural 71°C temperature medicinal waters flow from nearly 900m underground. The spa complex is renowned across Europe for its positive effect on various rheumatic and orthopedic injuries.

Szent László Catholic Church (4 km) - Originally a 15th century Gothic structure, baroque features were added to this striking church in 1770. Its frescos are by István Takács, whose style was greatly influenced by the folk art of the local Matyó community.

Folk Activity Houses (4 km) - Learn the traditional ways of the Matyó community, including weaving; doll-making; furniture painting, embroidering and pottering.

Travel Information

From the E71 (west):
- Exit the E71 onto route 33, towards Füzesabony.
- Turn right at the T-junction onto route 3.
- The hotel is in the Zsóryfürdo area, approximately 150 metres from the Zsóry Health Spa complex. Please contact the hotel for more detailed directions.

From the E71 (east):
- Around 5 km after you cross a railway, take the exit towards Miskolc.
- Take the next available exit left, towards Emöd.
- Take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto route 3.
- Continue until you reach Mezőkövesd.
